Story of Kimayaa
I just love jewellery! About 8/9 years ago, I saw a pair of beautiful anklets and toe-rings in a shop. It was love at first sight for me! I bought them right away because the price was affordable too.
As I started wearing it, my friends and colleagues noticed and asked me about its price and design. Everyone used to like the jewellery I wore and would often ask me to bring similar ones for them. I used to happily oblige, without expecting anything in return.
Observing this, a senior colleague suggested that I should start a jewellery business. She told me that my choice of jewellery is well appreciated.
There is a big difference between buying jewellery for a small group of friends and making a business out of it. But after giving it a serious thought, I decided to be an entrepreneur. I thank my family and friends for their support.
Initially, on a friend’s advice, I started showcasing my jewellery in various exhibitions all over the city. My stall always attracted the largest crowd that admired my collection. The exclusive designs, quality, and reasonable price helped my customer base grow. Many of my customers recommended me to their relatives and friends who became my permanent customers.
I now felt the need to have a permanent shop. So 4 years ago, I started my jewellery studio on the busy Karve Road, in Karishma Society Chowk. The studio got a very encouraging response. Due to word of mouth publicity, I started getting many customers. The variety and designs of jewellery, fair price, and superior quality make my collection a hit with everyone.
It is heartening to have old customers visit my studio frequently. They tell me that the jewellery they purchased is still in good condition and loved by everyone.
